2. Consent and App Usage
To provide full functionality (videos, chat, marketplace, etc.), we must collect and process certain personal data. By using our Platform, you consent to this processing. If you withdraw consent and delete the app from your device, you will no longer be able to access the Platform’s features.

We collect information in three primary ways:

3.1 Information You Provide
- Profile Information: date of birth, username, email/phone, password, bio, profile picture.
- User Content: photos, videos, audio, live-streams, comments, hashtags, metadata (time, location). We may also collect clipboard content if you copy/paste to or from the Platform.
- Direct Messages: message content and metadata (time sent, participants), including chats with merchants or virtual assistants for safety and anti-abuse purposes.
- Your Contacts: if you sync contacts, we collect names, phone numbers, and emails to match with other users.
- Purchase Info: when buying items (e.g., Coins or products), we collect transaction records and required billing/delivery information.
- Contacting Us: communications you send us (including documents or feedback where relevant).
- Forms & Features: data you enter in forms on the Platform, including auto-fill options.
3.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Technical Data: device model, OS, IP address, system language, crash/performance logs, and identifiers used for security, continuity, and analytics.
- Approximate Location: derived from IP, SIM, or device settings. If location services are enabled, we collect approximate geographic data.
- Usage Patterns: what you view, time spent, interactions, searches, preferences.
- Content Characteristics: detection of objects, faces, or text in uploads for moderation and safety, and to improve features.
- Inferred Info: age range, interests, potential gender, etc., used for safety and relevance (where permitted).
- Cookies/Tracking Tech: cookies, local storage, SDKs, etc. for login continuity, security, analytics, and (with consent) marketing.
3.3 Information from Other Sources
- Advertisers & Partners: info about off-platform actions (e.g., ad interactions) to measure performance and improve relevance (where permitted).
- Merchants & Payment Providers: confirmations about orders, deliveries, and payment status if you use shopping features.
- Third-Party Platforms: if you sign in via Apple ID, Google, Facebook, or link an account, we receive basic profile data.
- Public/External: publicly available sources or when you are tagged/mentioned by others.
3.4 User Data & Login Methods
When signing up, users may log in via Apple ID, Google, Facebook, email, or phone/SMS. We may collect:
- Basic profile data (name, email, profile picture) (depending on login method and user settings).
- Device and session information for security purposes.
Users can disconnect social logins in their account settings where supported by the login provider.
4. How We Use Your Information
We process personal data to operate, provide, develop, and improve Peekamoji, including to:
- Provide the Platform (create/consume content, interact, use in-app features).
- Fulfill orders (purchase details, shipping info, communications about orders).
- Billing (where relevant, e.g., payouts for certain features if applicable).
- Personalize the experience (feed ranking, recommended users).
- Enforce our Terms (moderation, account actions, safety).
- Enable interactive features (suggestions, collaborative formats where offered).
- Ads & measurement (personalized ads where allowed, performance measurement).
- Security & stability (spam/fraud prevention, troubleshooting).
- Platform improvement (analytics and model training for moderation/recommendations).
- Third-party integrations (when you request sharing or linking).
- Research (where vetted and lawful).
- Marketing (promotions, contests, campaigns where permitted).
- Legal compliance (lawful requests and safety obligations).
5. How We Share Your Information
5.1 Service Providers

They only receive the data necessary to perform their services.

- Third-party platforms: if you log in or share content externally.

- Merchants/payment providers: to complete and secure orders and payments.

- Public visibility: depending on your settings, your profile/content may be public.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

7.1 Managing Cookies & Tracking
You can adjust tracking settings via your device:

- Android: Settings → Google → Ads
7.2 How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time. We provide two ways to submit a deletion request.

To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm ownership (for example, by verifying the email address, phone number, or login method associated with your Peekamoji account).
Email us at support@peekamoji.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Please include:
- The username on your Peekamoji account (if available)
- The email/phone number and login method used (Apple ID / Google / Facebook / email / phone/SMS)
- A brief description of what you want deleted (account deletion or specific personal data)
What will be deleted
After we verify your request, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account, including:
- Account data: profile data (such as username, bio, profile image), authentication identifiers, and account settings.
- User content: posts you created and associated metadata, subject to the exceptions below.
- Support and transactional records: where reasonably possible, subject to legal retention needs.
Timing and confirmation
We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days after verifying the request (and sooner where possible). If we need additional information to verify account ownership, the timeline starts once verification is completed.
Exceptions and limited retention
We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, and prevent fraud or abuse. Backup copies (if any) are typically overwritten on a rolling basis and are not used for ordinary processing after deletion.
8. Data Security & Retention
8.1 Safeguards
We use measures such as encryption, secure servers, restricted access, and other safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access.
8.2 Retention Period
We keep data as long as needed for operation or as required by law, typically until account deletion plus up to 180 days for backups or legal obligations. If you violate guidelines, we may remove public content but retain it internally where needed for safety and compliance.
9. International Data Transfers
We may process data internationally. For transfers from EEA/UK/Switzerland, we rely on mechanisms such as adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
10. Younger Users (13+)
You must be at least 13 years old to use Peekamoji. If you suspect underage use, contact support@peekamoji.com.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy from time to time. Significant changes may be notified in-app or otherwise. The “Last Updated” date shows when it took effect.
